Despite the light blanket of snow we went ahead with the First PLOT Sunday Work Party of 2017. The Sun came out and melted the white away revealing some sweet surprises emerging from the soil. Red garlic sprouts, rainbow chard and even a few leeks that braved the winter announced themselves. Smiles, laughter and great sharing for those who showed up. Even the bees came out to say hello!
Making new friends at the Newton Medicine Wheel on our first Sunday work Party of 2017. Florian from Belgium is cycling around the world connecting Transition Town Initiatives and supporting social change initiatives. Was wonderful to hear about his work and travels.
It was a wonder to come together with ” Friends of the PLOT” at the Newton Cultural Centre! It has been a long winter and a treat to gather to share stories, dream a little of the coming year and plant seeds. Thanks so much to Todd from the City of Surrey and to Carol from the Newton Cultural Centre for all the great support and care.
